The Buller District Council has constructed a brand new purpose built recreation and events centre, which opened on 18 April 2009. Centrally located in Westport, the centre has been designed as the recreation, sporting and eventing hub for the Buller district.
The Solid Energy Centre is located on the corner of Henley and Domett Streets, a few minutes walk from Westport's main town street.
Buller is a diverse and spectacular district, from mountain to sea. With an enviable climate, laid back lifestyle and welcoming community environment, Buller is a great place to take a break, host a conference, hold an event or gather for competition.
