The Buller District Council operates refuse facilities at four different locations, these being at Westport, Karamea, Reefton and Maruia.
A skip service/transfer station operates at Reefton and Westport. Landfill sites operate in Karamea and Maruia.
Fees and Charges at the Transfer Stations are effective from 1 July 2009.

All landfills are closed Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.
Landfill hours may vary from time to time by Council resolution.
You may put out as many official Council rubbish bags as you like each collection day, provided the bags are identifiable as official Council bags. Bags are sold from the following outlets throughout the district for $2.50 each.
