The Buller District Council operates refuse facilities at four different locations, these being at Westport, Karamea, Reefton and Maruia.
A skip service/transfer station operates at Reefton. Landfill sites operate in Karamea, Westport and Maruia.
Westport Hours:
| Monday - Saturday | 9.00 am - 5.00 pm |
| Sunday | 10.00 am - 4.00 pm |
Maruia Hours:
| Tuesday and Thursday | 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm |
Reefton Hours:
| Tuesday and Thursday | 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm |
| Saturday and Sunday | 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm |
Karamea Hours:
| Wednesday and Friday | 9.00 am - 5.00 pm |
| Sunday | 9.00 am- 5.00 pm |
All landfills are closed Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.
Landfill hours may vary from time to time by Council resolution.
You may put out as many official Council rubbish bags as you like each collection day, provided the bags are identifiable as official Council bags. Bags are sold from the following outlets throughout the district for $2.00 each.
