The Buller District Council owns and maintains housing for elderly residents. We currently manage a total of forty four units, situated in Westport, Reefton and Karamea. Housing units are contained within various sized complexes from two to twelve units and all are well designed to cater for the needs of the elderly.
While these properties are almost always fully occupied, a number do become available each year. Available housing is offered to those on a standing list of applicants (held by a special confidential housing committee within the Buller District Council).
While recent years have seen the waiting list increase significantly, interested parties are still encouraged to apply.
