Outward Bound Scholarship

Each year, the Buller District Council calls for applications from Buller youth for the Sue Thomson Casey Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship meets the cost of attendance at one of the highly regarded Outward Bound leadership courses.

The scholarship is aimed at young people aged from 16-18 years old, and is focussed towards leadership potential rather than acedemic ability. Persons with a disability are not excluded from applying; Outward Bound can cater for most personal circumstances in regard to physical or intellectual disabilities.

We are currently calling for applications for the 2009 scholarship. Applications close 31 July 2009.

If you would like further information on the scholarship, download the information pack below. All applicants who apply for the scholarship receive an interview, from which the successful candidate is selected.
