Community Outcomes
Community Outcomes are identified as the outcomes which a local authority aims to achieve in order to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of its district or region, in the present and for the future.
These outcomes are included in all long term planning Council does and under the Local Governmnet Act 2002 Council is required to include these Community Outcomes in it's official Long Term Plan documents.
Before the 2006 Long Term Plan (then known as Council Community Long Term Plan) was adopted, significant consultation was carried out and the community identified key areas that were important for Buller moving forward. It is time to review these outcomes, so we have gone over what was set back in 2006 and think we have identified the key areas our communities are interested in most, these are:
- Who we are
- Learning
- Well-being
- Sustainable Environment
- Prosperity
Please view the document below to see the full Community Outcomes details.
